An "ACS on Campus" event, which was co organized by American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, was held in Oct. 20, 2014 in the lecture hall of the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University. The dean of the Department Prof. Xun Wang gave an opening introduction to the Department of Chemistry. The Editor-In-Chief of ACS publication Journal of Physical Chemistry, Prof. George C. Schatz from Northwestern University, US, associate editors of ACS publication Analytical Chemistry, Prof. Xinrong Zhang from Tsinghua University, associate editors of ACS publication ACS Catalysis, Prof Boqing Xu from Tsinghua University and some ACS staffs gave their presentations on topics like ACS idea, scientific publication, career development and the writing of applying fund, and so on. About 100 researchers and students from Tsinghua University Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and other universities nearby took part in the event.
