On June 13, 2019, the third Tsinghua-UBC Modern Chemistry Symposium was held in the Department of Chemistry. The delegation of UBC included Professor Michael Wolf (department head), Professor Roman Krems, Professor Zachary Hudson, Professor Hongbin Li, and PhD students. Scientists from both sides made presentations on the research progress and discussed future research cooperation on photo-functional materials, computational chemistry, protein folding, and supramolecular self-assembly, etc.
On June 14, Professor Xun Wang, head of the Department of Chemistry, and Professor Michael Wolf signed an agreement between the two departments to strengthen research cooperation and student exchange.
