Department of chemistry of Tsinghua University was
founded in 1926 and became one of the top chemistry
departments with the strongest teaching staff and
the highest academic level when the new China was
founded. Many well-known professors such as Huang
Ziqing, Zhang Zigao, Gao Chongxi, Sa Bentie, Tang
Youqi, Shen Panwen, Zhang Pang, Feng Xinde, Zhang
Qinglian Yan Renyin, Ma Zusheng, Gao Zhenheng etc.,
used to study and work in this department.
