Associate Prof. Dr. Cheng, born in 1961, graduated from chemistry department, Wuhan University in 1984. He received his M.S. degree at Wuhan University (1987), Ph.D at Kagoshima University Japan(1998) respectively and was a postdoctoal research fellow of K.U. Leuven Belgium(1998-1999). His research interests are focused on the synthesis of carbohydrate compounds and novel nucleosides as antiviral and antitumor agents. He also interested in the study of origin of nucleic acid.
