Sino-Japan Workshop on Chemical Biology was held in Tsinghua University

  Sino-Japan Workshop on Chemical Biology was held in Oct. 10-13, 2014 in Tsinghua University. The workshop was hosted by the Department of Chemical Science of NSFC, and was organized by the MOE Key Laboratory of Bioorganic Phosphorus Chemistry & Chemical Biology. Prof. Xi Zhang and Prof. Yongjun Chem, who is the director and the vice director of the Department of Chemical Science of NSFC, respectively, as well as Qiyu Zheng, Canping Du, Yan Zhang from the Department of Chemical Science of NSFC took part in the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof Yanmei Li, the director of MOE Key Laboratory of Bioorganic Phosphorus Chemistry & Chemical Biology. More than 10 scientists from the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University, Japan, and more than 20 scientists from P.R. China gave their lecture on fields like molecular sensor, the synthesis and labeling of biomolecule, biocompatible chemistry, chemical genetics, biosynthetic chemistry, chemical biology on drug discovery, applied chemical biology, new theory and new technology on chemical biology, and so on. About 70 students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University and CAS took part in this workshop.
