A 4-member-delegacy from American Chemistry Society (ACS) visited the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University on April 19, 2012. The group included Marinda Wu, the President-Elect of ACS, Denise Creech, the Director of Membership and Scientific Advancement Division, Brad Miller, Director of ACS Office of International Activities and so on. Prof. Jin-Ming Lin, the vice Chair of the Department of Chemistry introduced to the guest about the history of Tsinghua University and the Department of Chemistry, as well as the development of the Department of Chemistry on research, education, social services and personnel management in recent years. A discussion about the development of chemistry and the collaboration of US and China in chemistry fields was gone along after that. Prof. Meixiang Wang, Prof. Dongsheng Liu, and Prof. Zhigang Shuai from Tsinghua University also took part in the discussion.
