Prof. Xi Zhang was Elected as the Vice-President of Pacific Polymer Federation

  The 13th Pacific Polymer Conference was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in Nov. 17th-22ed, 2013. The Council Meeting of Pacific Polymer Federation (PPF) was held during the Conference. Prof. Xi Zhang, Tsinghua University, was elected as the Vice-President of PPF. It’s a tradition that he will become the President of PPF two years later.

  PPF is an organization created in 1987 by three funding members: The Society of Polymer Science, Japan; the Division of Polymer Chemistry, Inc., American Chemical Society; the Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. Membership of the PPF is open to all societies and associations of scientists and engineers, geographically situated in, or near, the Pacific Basin, which have at least part of their activities devoted to polymer science and / or technology. The objectives of PPF is to encourage and facilitate the interaction between polymer organizations involving the Pacific as well as the exchange of scientific knowledge, participation in national polymer meetings, and visits by polymer scientists of the Pacific.
