Academic Career:

Professor Dr. Qing-Hui Guo was born in Henan, China, in July 1986. He earned his BSc in chemistry from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University in 2010 and his PhD in 2015 from the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University under the supervision of Professor Mei-Xiang Wang. Subsequently, he joined the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) as a postdoctoral fellow in Professor De-Xian Wang's group. After a year and a half, he became a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Stoddart's group at Northwestern University. In June 2021, he established the Supramolecular Functional and Organic Laboratory as a principal investigator (PI) in the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University. In 2023, he relocated to the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University.

Research:

The research conducted in Guo's laboratory will primarily address fundamental and practical challenges in nano-molecules and materials science, incorporating principles derived from organic and supramolecular chemistry. The laboratory will undertake three distinct projects, namely: 1. precise synthesis of planner and curved π-conjugated molecular carbons; 2. supramolecular chemical regulation of reactions endowed by novel macrocycles; 3. molecular nanotopology and related intelligent nanomaterials.

Awords and Honors:

The Second-Class Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, 2015

Awarded by Tsinghua University Outstanding Graduates in Beijing, 2015

National Scholarship for Graduate Students, 2014
