Prof. Dr. Liang obtained his B.Sc. (2000) and Ph.D. (2005) at Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, where he served here sequentially as Lecturer (2005) to Tenured Professor (2020). His research focused on organoid/organ-on-a-chip, multi-omics analysis, pharmaceutical analysis and the modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He led the completion of China's first microfluidic chip-based drug R&D project (National Major Science and Technology Project), achieving significant progress in core technologies for organs-on-chips and the development of vascular, liver, kidney, and intestinal chip models. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers, holds more than 30 patents, and has co-authored 5 monographs. He has been awarded 3 National Science and Technology Progress Awards (2016, 2014, 2007) and numerous provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee (Tsinghua University), Secretary-General of the Association of Chinese Graduate Education, Secretary-General of the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Professional Engineering Degree, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Drug Analysis Technology Branch (China Medicinal Biotech Association), Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Herbal Medicine Research Branch(China Medical Association of Minorities), Deputy Director of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Professional Committee for Traditional Chinese Medicine Product Development and Cultivation, Standing Committee Member of the Professional Committee of Analytical Pharmacology(Chinese Pharmacological Society), and Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Youth Committee (Beijing Physical & Chemistry Testing Technology Society).

Organoid/organ-on-a-chip, multi-omics analysis, pharmaceutical analysis and the modernization of TCM.
