Education background
Dr. Haohong Duan obtained B.S. degree in Peking University in 2009 and PhD degree in Tsinghua University in 2014 (Supervisor: Prof. Yadong Li), and then worked as a postdoctoral associate in University of Oxford in 2015−2018 (Collaborated supervisors: Profs. Dermot O’Hare and Edman Tsang).
Research interest
Dr. Haohong Duan began independent research career since 2019. He has been working on the development of electro- and photoelectro-catalytic systems, synthesizing novel catalysts and designing efficient reactors, for coupling hydrogen evolution and value-added anodic reactions, making contribution to the sustainability of co-production of green hydrogen and valuable chemicals driven by renewable energy. Based on the novel works, Duan has published more than 70 papers as the first or corresponding authors, including Nat. Catal., Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Duan is also one of the editors and authors of a book “Photocatalysis Using 2D Nanomaterials” (2022, published by Royal Society of Chemistry). He was awarded Distinguished Young Scholars of China, Distinguished Young Scholars of Beijing and Green Tech Award, etc. He is currently the principal scientist in the National Key R&D Program of China. He is also a member of Advisory Board of Chemical Science, and a specially invited editor of Science Bulletin, and youth editor of Science China Chemistry, Precision Chemistry and other high-quality journals.
