Associate Prof. Tang, born in 1964, graduated from Department of Chemistry, Wuhan Science and Technology Univeristy in 1990, received his Master of Organic Chemistry in Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University of China in 1993. After graduation, he was appointed as a lecturer by Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University of China. In 1999, he was promoted as an associate professor of Tsinghua University. In recent years, he has undertaken several national projects, such as three national high-tech "863" projects, three national projects of the national Ministry of Information Industry. He has accumulated plenty of experiences about the transfer of research result to industrialization. His research interests are focused on flat panel display materials and flat panel display technoligy, including synthesis and formulation of liquid crystal compounds and mixtures, synthesis of alignment materials used for LCD, alignment mechanism of LC molecules and chemicals used in FPD.
