Prof. Dezhong SHEN

Prof. Shen, born in 1940, graduated from the Department of Solid Physics, Sichuan University of China in 1964, attended in a advanced studies on light-wave transmission at Toronto University in 1986, cooperated with St. Barbara University of USA to research light-refract effect between 1993 and 1994. Elected as Chinese Academy of Engineering's National Academician in 1995, he is now the Director of Functional Crystal & Film Institute, Tsinghua University. His research interests are focused on growth & application of CLBO crystal. He was commissary of academic committee in National Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, Shandong University; associate director commissary in Optics Academy of China; commissary in Optics Academy of USA.
